I didn't do my fancy visual plans. So I'm just going to give you a brief overview of what we'll be doing this week.
In math we'll continue our data unit. Last week students created a graph from this unit after we collected our data.
This week my kiddos will think of their own question for a survey, collect the data and represent it.
In reading we'll be reading the passages from Stephanie's unit, as well as other nonfiction text on the countries we are learning about for our trip around the world. I love her passages because they include questions. My students love to get their high lighters out and high light the answers before responding to the questions.
In writing we'll be completing a little informational text booklet on each country we visit. It's a freebie for my Facebook Fans.
Here is an overview of my centers.
The word work, math, and listening centers are all from my Merry, Merry, Mistletoe centers.

We'll that's about it. I have one more thing I'll be doing this week, that I'll blog about soon.
Have a great week friends!
Wow. I love you! Trying to get review math activities ready for the week before break and you did all the work!
ReplyDeleteNo school here in WV! Thanks for the Holidays around the world freebie! It's definitely one of my favorite units to teach.

What a fun idea for your graph- would you rather...! I love that and I am sure the kids do too! I would love to hear the reasons for why they chose what they did!
