Peeking into the Next Week

It’s me again. In addition, this week was bit short for me because I was out sick on Monday and back at the doctor on Friday. Also, I think I’m finally kicking this thing, but because I wasn’t at school much the pictures are lacking.  Sorry!

Besides, I thought I’d still give you a little look at our week last week and share my plans for this week as well.  There are a ton of FREEBIES linked to my visual plans every week.  Furthermore, a lot of friends were having a hard time figuring it out though, so here’s how.

1. Click on my plans below. They will open in Google Docs.

( You CANNOT start clicking on the plans in Google Docs)
2. Second, go to File and click Download! Download the plans to your desktop.
3. Open the plans on your desktop and start clicking on the pictures in the plans.
They will lead you to tons of great products or freebies.

Now back to last week.

Last week we read I.Q. Gets Fit and reviewed character and introduced setting.
Then, I first introduced setting with a Brainpop Jr. Video Clip.  I love those things!
In addition, they explain in such a great and simple way.
Then we read I.Q. Gets Fit and discussed the setting.  When we finished, my kiddos did this “Setting the Stage” activity from Sarah Cooley’s Setting Pack.
Also, we played a little setting memory match game I whipped up! Students had to find the matching character and setting.
Furthermore, we also reviewed character this week. My sweeties read “just right” books and then did this fun little interactive notebook activity from Deanna Jump’s new Interactive Reading Journal.
Lastly, here are my plans for this week.  There are lots of freebies linked within these plans including my entire Shared Reading unit for this week. Hope they help!
Check out my sweet friend Deedee’s Peek at the Week Linky.
