Thankful it’s Thursday!

Has it been a week this——————————-long for anybody else, or is it just me? In addition, tonight I had my last night of conferences and I’m super tired! But I thought I had to get my blogging in before bed. 🙂 I can’t miss something my best blogger friends have to offer.

In fact, as much as I can’t wait for the weekend. I also am super excited for the St. Patty’s Day fun next week.  We are making these adorable little leprechauns that my sweet friend Cara posted at The First Grade Parade.
But instead of writing about when they felt lucky, we are writing: If I caught a leprechaun…  If you want the template I made, click the leprechaun below.

We’re also making a rainbow in a jar a la Rachelle at What the Teacher Wants, graphing Skittles and making Leprechaun punch.

Oh and how stinking cute is this ice cream cone leprechaun. A little high maintenance, so I may just do it with my own little man, but it’s too adorable to pass.  I can’t for the life of me think of where I found it or I’d give credit to the creative genius. Too much blogging gets me confused.  🙂
In other nightly news:

I posted this and then removed it until I was super sure.
I found this cute little graphic site and emailed the owner. She said as long as her graphics are made into a new product and not shared or sold “as is”, you can use them for things you sell on Teachers pay Teachers. So here is another graphics site for your purchasing pleasure.
(Feel free to email Trina at [email protected] if you want to confirm)

Also, head on over to my TpT store and pick up a cute little St. Patty’s Day game or my newest center item: Rhyming Rabbit.

  1. Great minds must think alike! I have been writing nonfiction and poetry in our writer's workshop this quarter and I just started freaking out because I have to teach beg, mid, and end stories for this quarter's report cards (oops I forgot!) so anyway I was thinking of having them write about how they would catch a leprechaun or what they would do if they caught one. Thanks for posting the adorable leprechauns! I would love the kids to make them as well!

  2. Thanks for the tip on the graphics from digiscrapkits. They are affordable, able to be used on TpT, and cute! I headed over to her website and was able to create some of my favorite center activities with her graphics! I love activities that involve students reading to follow directions. Students enjoy coloring…so why not incorporate reading and coloring together!! I used digiscrapkits images to create activity pages that require students to identify high frequency sight words based on the Dolch word lists. There are also sentences utilizing sight words and number words that students must read to correctly color the picture. There are 6 activity pages in all. Head over to my blog for a free download @ firstgradefactory.blogspot.com

    Thank you for your inspiration!!
